Attention all City of Baker School System Employees, School Board Members, and Supporters:

Baker High School is proud to announce that we have been selected for several honors that will be taking place in the next few weeks:

1) Channel 9’s Game Day Pep Rally will be on campus to televise our Pep Rally on Friday, October 7 as we get fired up to take on the Saints of West Feliciana High School.  The Pep Rally will be televised and begins at 5am.  That is correct! It is not a misprint.  The Pep Rally will begin at 5am! We need all students, faculty, staff, Central Office staff, School Board members, and anyone else who wants to help us form a sea of red for the pep rally to show up at 5am to the boys' gym at Baker High School on Friday, October 7!  We are encouraging everyone to wear red shirts!

2) The Symphony of Soul Marching Band received a tremendous honor this week.  Director Kedric Taylor received an invitation from Southern University to perform the halftime show for the Southern v. Prairieview football game on October 8, 2011.  The game is set to kick off at Southern University at 7pm.  The game, and the half time show, will be broadcast live on Cox Sports Television, Channel 37.  Congratulations to the Symphony of Soul on this honor, and we hope you will tune in to watch!
