The Baker Buffalo football team will play the Zachary High Broncos at the season opening Jamboree.

Date: August 24, 2012
Time: 5:30pm
Place: Denham Springs High School
Cost: $7

*Pre-Sale tickets may be purchased at the front office now until school ends on Friday. The money from all tickets purchased at BHS remain here and support our football team. Tickets purchased at the gate are split among all schools.

The Baker High School English Department is sponsoring a Scholastic Book Fair and Family Literacy Night. Students are encouraged to visit the fair and purchase books and other merchandise to help support our classroom libraries and promote literacy at our school.

The Baker High School family mourned the loss of one of its own faculty members this week. Ray Moore Clower, who taught civics and free enterprise, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2011.

Congratulations to the Baker High Symphony of Soul for sweeping over the competition at the St. Martinville Battle of the Bands which was held Saturday, October 15, 2011. The Symphony of Soul won 1st place for their dancers, the Buffettes, 1st place for Drum Major, and 1st place for Band.

We would like to thank each and every one of you who came out to help fire up the buffaloes as we prepare for tonight's game against West Feliciana. We know just how hard it is to be ready to cheer and scream for your school at 5am, but YOU DID IT! Today's pep rally was so exciting that the crew from WAFB, Channel 9, said that it was their best live Game Day Pep Rally ever. We would like to thank everyone who was there: students (from the high school, middle school, and elementary schools), faculty, staff, parents, alumni, community members, district office members, the superintendent, the mayor, and members of the police and fire department. We could not have pulled this off without you! Again, we say thank you, and we hope to see you at the game tonight and at all of our Baker High School events.
