On Friday, December 17, 2010 Holiday Appreciation Receptions were held for the support staffs of the Baker School System. These receptions hosted by Interim Superintendent Dr. Ron Jackson and the Executive Staff were pre-planned efforts intended to express heartfelt thanks to the many committed and hard working employees who daily contribute to the total educational experiences of Baker’s students. The morning reception hosted the bus drivers and custodians while the evening reception was honored with the presence of the food service workers, guidance counselors and others. Poetry and meditations as well as entertainment, in the form of holiday carols, were provided by the Central Office Executive Team. Both events marked the first time such recognition was given to the support staffs and judging from employee responses, anticipated to not be the last time.
