Xi Nu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is the oldest collegiate fraternity for gentlemen of color (college chapters and alumni chapters) with a founding date of 12-04-1906 at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY and it is the oldest on HBCU with the 2nd chapter organized at Howard University 12-20-1907.   In the Baton Rouge area, the Xi Nu Lambda Chapter, chartered on 6-10-1983, is a service-minded alumni chapter, currently under President, Malcolm Carpenter. Other members included Past Presidents, Dr. Michael McKnight and David Grisby, along with other Chapter representatives: Christopher Slaughter, Brandon Lewis, and Everrett Parker.  On 10-19-20, a few of its members made a donation of one thousand COVID-19 Personal Protective Equipment (masks, thermometers, hand wash, etc.) to Baker Middle School and to Baker High School.   These Gentlemen of Distinction were kindly welcomed and thanked by Principals Roy Walker and Traci Morgan.
