Administration/Guidance

Principal
Mr. Roy C. Walker, M.Ed.

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome your child and family to Baker Middle School. We are very excited to partner with you to make a smooth transition from elementary school to middle school.

As students make this transition, our objectives are to provide Tier I curriculums compatible with Louisiana Department of Education, employ and train teachers to teach and assess the curriculums with fidelity, and provide interventions and resources for students to become successful with the Tier I content. Also we will fairly, and without delay, consistently reinforce protocols and procedures that will create a safe environment. We strive to have an environment that is conducive to learning and free of distractions. In order to sustain that environment, it is imperative to establish criteria for student discipline. Students need to know that they are held accountable for their actions. We strive to keep students and their families informed about the policies and procedures that promote positive educational experiences.

We look forward to teaming up with you to provide your child with the best possible opportunity to succeed.
