Principal

Mr.Roy C. Walker, M.Ed.

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome your child and family to Baker Middle School. We are very excited to partner with you to make a smooth transition from elementary school to middle school.

As students make this transition, our objectives are to fairly, and without delay, consistently enforce our rules that will create a safe environment. We strive to have an environment that is conducive to learning and free of distractions. In order to sustain that environment, it is imperative to establish criteria for student discipline. Students need to know that they are held accountable for their actions. We strive to keep students and their families informed about the policies and procedures that promote positive educational experiences.

We look forward to teaming up with you to provide your child with the best possible opportunity to succeed.

The Baker Middle School Counselor is a very active and supportive part of our school's setting. We offer services for our students as they cope with adjusting to the life of becoming an early teen. It can be a confusing time for young people, but the counselor is always there to lend a hand, a shoulder, or advice to help these young people cope.

We strive to provide an overall, comprehensive school counseling environment that meets the academic, personal and social needs of all students. One of the primary goals is to make student transitions easier so that each student becomes a well-rounded and responsible individual.
