BAKER HIGH SCHOOL GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT
Mrs. Courtney Henley
Professional School Counselor

My name is Mrs. Henley, and I am the Professional School Counselor for Baker High School, 9th - 12th grade students. I got my Bachelors degree in Psychology and Sociology at Radford University in Radford, Virginia. I then moved to Louisiana and got my Masters degree in Counseling, specified in School Counseling at University of Louisiana Monroe. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor through NBCC and a Certified Professional School Counselor through the Louisiana Department of Education.
Prior to being a School Counselor, I was a counselor working with children and adolescents, primarily dealing with anxiety, depression, career guidance, and academic guidance. I also worked with children and teens with autism to help achieve their goals academically, socially, and emotionally.
I've always had a passion for education and developed my passion for counseling over the past 8 years. I wanted to combine my passion with counseling and education to help students succeed and excel in school and out of school.
I'm excited to be a part of Baker High School and I look forward to an amazing year!
