Community/Parent Volunteer Opportunities at Baker High School

 

Baker High school is a proud member of the Baker Community.  We realize that it takes many different stakeholders to make our school and community a success.  We encourage you--whether you are a business owner, employee, citizen, or parent--to get involved at Baker High School by volunteering your time at one or more of the following events:

Event Date/Time Description

Family Literacy Night February 8, 2012 - 6pm Students will present poetry and other writings. Refreshments will be served. We need help setting up the book fair and register. Contact Mr. Wall jwall@bakerschools.org

College and Career Fair March 1, 2012 - 8:00am The Guidance department will be hosting over 40 organizations on campus for the college and career fair. We need help setting up tables for booths and monitoring the gym. contact Ms. Hope Landor to volunteer. hlandor@bakerschools.org

3 on 3 Tournament March 23, 2012 - 8:30am Coach Meyer needs help with the championship rounds of the 3 on 3 tournamnet on Friday, March 23. Games will begin at 8:30am. If you would like to help run the scoreboard and clock or officiate a game, please contact Coach Meyer. ameyer@bakerschools.org

PTO 3K March 31, 2012 - 9am Darnell Waites and the PTO are holding a 3k walk/run.  If you would like to volunteer to help Mr. Waites in any way--registering students, working concessions, etc.--please contact him.

Math/Science Night March 29, 2012 - 6pm Students will present projects/presentations and teacher presentations will be made. If you would like to help with set up and/or clean up, please contact Ms. Laree Taylor. ltaylor@bakerschools.org

Library Improvements Ongoing Continual efforts are underway to reorganize and revitalize the BHS Library. To help with library upgrades and improvements, please contact Patrick Abadie. pabadie@bakerschools.org
