NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING: 2026 Millage Adoption
The City of Baker School District will hold a public hearing to discuss and consider adjustments to our millage rates. Here are the details you need to know:
Meeting Details
When: Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
Where: City of Baker School Board Office (Board Room), 14750 Plank Road, Baker, LA
Purpose of the Hearing
Pursuant to Louisiana Constitution Article 7, Section 23(C) and R.S. 47:1705(B), the board will meet to consider:
Levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval.
Adopting adjusted millage rates after reassessment.
Rolling forward to rates not exceeding the prior year's maximum.
Financial Impact & Estimates
Estimated tax revenues to be collected next year (from increased millage): $3,079,092
Amount of tax increase attributable to the millage increase: $455,922
