The purpose of this electronic correspondence is to formally notify you that a check (donation) from the LSBA Foundation in the amount $50,000.00 will be delivered to Supt. BRISTER via U.S. Mail (certified/signature receipt required) in the coming days.
As you may recall, the LSBA and the LSBA Foundation selected nineteen (19) school districts negatively impacted by the Great Floods of 2016 to distribute dollars to from the fundraising initiative of the LSBA Foundation titled Fund for Restoring Our Schools. At the recent state convention, we informally named those recipient districts, of which, CITY OF BAKER was included in the distribution.
Please find attached an electronic version of the correspondence that will accompany the check. Finally, please find attached a photo from the recent state conference.
We hope these dollars assist your ongoing recovery efforts.
