"Celebrate Differences" with CoBSS Autism Awareness Week

Autism impacts the normal development of the brain in the areas of social interaction, communication skills, and cognitive function. The National Autism Association states that an estimated 1 in 59 children are affected by autism in the United States. Notably, boys are four times more likely than girls to be diagnosed with autism and minority groups tend to be diagnosed later and less often.

As we "Celebrate Differences" in the City of Baker Schools and local community, let's embrace the opportunity to learn more about autism! Remember to wear BLUE on Thursday, April 1st as we "Light It Up Blue for Autism"!
